Meet Dallas Estate Planning Attorney, Tom Misteli
Tom Misteli is a trusted advocate for individuals and families seeking guidance in wills, trusts, estate planning, and probate matters. His practice is dedicated to helping clients protect their assets, provide for their loved ones, and navigate complex legal decisions with confidence and clarity.
Tom earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida State University and his Juris Doctor from the SMU Dedman School of Law in 2008. Before entering the legal profession, he gained valuable experience as a residential real estate appraiser with Washington Mutual. During law school, he clerked for Barrett Burke Wilson Castle Daffin & Frappier (now Barrett Daffin Frappier Turner & Engel), where he later became an Associate Attorney and, ultimately, Associate General Counsel. He went on to serve as in-house litigation counsel for Fidelity National Title before founding Misteli Law Firm.
Today, Tom leverages over 15 years of legal experience to assist clients with estate planning solutions tailored to their unique needs and goals. His background in real estate law and litigation provides an added layer of insight for clients whose estate planning needs intersect with property matters.
Tom is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Bar College, and the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program. He has been a State Bar's Real Estate Legislative Affairs Committee (RELAC) member since 2011.
If Tom is not in the office, don't look for him on the golf course; his favorite hobby is skiing. He and his wife Michele love to travel, although they don't like leaving their four pugs at home. That travel often involves cheering on Tom's beloved Seminoles or Michele's beloved New Orleans Saints. During hockey season, Tom still mourns the loss of his only hometown sports team from childhood, the Hartford Whalers.
